The Hotel an der Aare is located in the former nurses’ home of the "Altes Spital" Solothurn (the old Solothurn hospital). It combines stylish, modern infrastructure and historical 18th century buildings. Hotel Information

Hotel guests can enjoy the sunset from the restaurant Aaregarten with an aperitif or a fine dinner. Later on, the lounge, with its vaulted ceiling, is available for a nightcap. A full breakfast is served in the small hall or in the roofed green courtyard. Course rooms at the Altes Spital are suitable for seminars, banquets and exhibitions. The cultural events organized by the Altes Spital and a rock-climbing room complete the wide range of offerings at the Hotel Aare.

In the restaurant Aaregarten you will discover the old town of Solothurn from the other side of the river. In the sunny garden restaurant, which is directly located on the river Aare, you can relax with a drink as the sun goes down while your children play in the playground. Dishes from the Aaregarten kitchen harmoniously combine a wide variety of ingredients. Particular attention is given to the food presentation. The chef de cuisine attaches great importance to creative, seasonal cooking. The wine list in the restaurant Aaregarten features European products. The selection of wines reflects the skill of the wine-grower and the „terroir“ of the vineyard.
